Review of the educational policy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the context of career guidance activities

The article provides an analytical overview of the educational policy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) with a particular focus on the organization and development of career guidance activities. Educational policy is conceptualized as a multilevel governance system operating at national, regional, and institutional levels and aimed at aligning state priorities, labor market demands, and individual educational needs. Particular attention is given to career guidance and career guidance activities as systemic components of educational policy that support professional self-determination, facilitate informed educational and career choices, and enhance the social and economic relevance of education. The study analyzes key regulatory and policy documents governing career guidance in the PMR and examines the mechanisms of executing their provisions within a multilevel governance framework. The findings identify key challenges, including fragmented practices, uneven student coverage, and insufficient coordination between educational authorities, institutions, and social partners. The article substantiates the relevance of establishing a unified career guidance platform in the PMR as an integrative policy tool to improve the coherence, continuity, and practical orientation of career guidance activities in accordance with regional socio-economic needs.
