International Journal "Modern Education and Society" was founded in 2024 by Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (RSPU named after A. I. Herzen) with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The journal aims to publish the results of scientific research in the field of contemporary education issues.

The international editorial board includes the rectors of partner universities: Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (RSPU named after A. I. Herzen, Russia), Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University (TSPU named after Nizami, Uzbekistan), and Shandong Normal University (SNU, China).

The journal's primary mission is to disseminate Russian and international research in the field of education and international cooperation across various areas of pedagogy, philosophy, and sociology, as well as to create an expert platform for discussing problems, trends, and forecasts for the development of education and society.

The journal "Modern Education and Society" publishes articles and analytical materials by Russian and international authors that present the results of contemporary pedagogical, philosophical, and sociological research, including comparative studies of education. It also covers the formation and development of national educational systems, as well as issues of global and cross-border education in society from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The journal is aimed at researchers, analysts, practitioners, and a wide range of readers interested in the problems of education and the global development of society through the means of education.
